Norte is a restaurant on London’s Regent Street, specialising in Northern Spanish cuisine.
Norte’s web site was to coincide a relaunch and rebrand of the restaurant. The concept, menu and interior were overhauled and it needed a visually striking site to sell the brand and drive bookings, connect people with their social networks and also provide a narrative on where the food comes from. The restaurant only sources from the North of Spain so it was important to bring in stories, culture and art from the region.
Firstly, a moodboard was created with the client to help us understand clearly the concept and culture behind Northern Spanish cuisine. Research showed that a one-page site would be most effective for a restaurant site like this. Wireframes and concepts were produced, designed to highlight the interior photography, which features graffiti art from some of Spain’s most famous street artists alongside the striking food presentation. The user is then lead into the simple booking process.
The site was developed on WordPress utilising integrations such as a third-party booking CRM and Instagram feed. The project also involved an email newsletter build.
The site has helped establish the restaurant as popular place to dine in the West End with a healthy uplift in bookings and social interaction.
